Duane LaGuire-Quinn, LMSW, ACSW

Duane earned a BA degree at The University of Michigan-Flint, a MA degree at Oakland University, and a MSW at The University of Michigan. He maintains a holistic, integrated approach (using several theories of counseling & psychotherapy) in service of the client’s needs. Duane has over 200 hours of advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research, and at the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies conferences. He has 25 years of experience teaching Young Fives, Kindergarten, and First Grade. He has 14+ years experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in areas such as anxiety, mood disorder, grief and loss, ADHD, substance abuse recovery, working with Individuals, couples, families/parents, youth and adolescents, and more. A combat veteran (as a Green Beret in Viet Nam, 1966-67 & 1969-70), Duane has a special interest in, and extensive experience working with those with PTSD and other trauma disorders.
